Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The Guild’s sponsorship of Project Linus has created many smiles to many faces, comfort when it is needed and service to our communities that gives so many rewards to all who receive and give.  Here are some answers to questions we frequently receive:

How can the Guild Members help?
Make and contribute a blanket to help fill our cupboard for giving to children.  You can make any size quilt – from crib to small lap size for either a boy or a girl.

How do we get our funding?
Our Guild Treasury has financed the grand prize to a guild member who contributes quilt/quilts to our cupboard.  Our Guild Members have contributed generously for the past few years in providing blankets for our Project Linus Chapter.  Each blanket made by our blanketeer volunteer stays in Aroostook County to be givien to a child in need.

What can you do as a Project Linus Blanketeer?
Spread the word of our community service to organizations or individuals.  Make blankets either crocheted, knitted or a quilt to donate to our Chapter.  Sizes can be from a crib size up to a small lap size as we provide blankets to children from the ages of 0 to 18.
Downloadable patterns here.

What can you donate?
Blankets to be donated to the Guild chapter are to be handmade and can be knitted, crocheted, handmade fleece, handmade blankets or quilts. Each blanket received by us will be labeled with the Project Linus and put in our cupboard waiting for a child in need. You can donate fabric, blocks already made, quilt tops, batting or your time to organize our Blanket cupboard. Sage Financial of Houlton has donated a large space to our organization.

How else can I help?
We are also in need of blanketeers who would sew on labels, tie quilts and wash them. Karen and Kim will bring some to the quilt meetings with directions on how they need to be finished for pick up or we can meet at Sage Financial to have the items picked up for finishing.

Where can you drop off the blankets?
Pick up/drop off of the blankets can be done several ways:
Call Kim or Karen for pick up or drop off – Kim 532 1550 or Karen at 532 2445

Drop off places:
Sage Financial – Main Street, Houlton
Bear Paw Inn - Contact – Lisa Burtt at 425-6241, 94 Main St, Mars Hill
Carol’s Country Yarns, Main Street, Houlton

If you would like to be a coordinator for an organization or drop off area for Project Linus Quilts, please give Kim or Karen a call or complete our
